About ScanToken
Securing the Internet is hard work. The Internet is vast, and many parts of it are hostile to measurement, but the work is some of the most important work of this era. The Internet has enabled global communication unimaginable by previous generations, but it has also enabled new generations of criminals. This disparity in information security often leaves the most vulnerable members of our society open to attack, which casts a chilling effect. People become fearful of the technologies that were supposed to set us free, and the growth of all humanity is stunted as a result.
We envision a future where a community of researchers monitor and report on the health of the global information infrastructure. The ScanToken project is about building the incentivization infrastructure for a sell-sustaining decentralized organization focused on hardening the internet. This will be done by creating a large, community driven, collaborative database, similar to a wiki, of attack surface data.
Early target consumers will be bug bounty researchers. This data will also help Internet exposed organizations understand their own attack surface. In order to perform complex searches or tasks, users will be required to hold certain amounts of tokens, and users can earn tokens by submitting data to the collection point.

GST Tokenization
The general vision of the project is to have a number of independently running collection points run by various members of the community. These collection points would allow community members to publish data to the collection points, and subscribe to data according to the terms of their publisher and subscription agreements.
Coins Distribution

- 1 million: founder's fee, two year lock maybe? Then 10% per week?
- 1 million: split 10 ways for first 10 active contributors to the project

The primary collection point for phase 0 will be the nweb.io website, which aggregates nmap scan data in a way that makes it easy to search through. 10,000 GST tokens are being sent out weekly to contributors who run scanning agents.
